Jean lake is one of those places that is basically the middle of no where. You pretty much have to drive about 40 minutes away from Las Vegas and the only thing you see before you hit the dry lake bed is a bunched of colored rocks called Seven Magic Mountains on S. Las Vegas Blvd. It’s one of those cool spots that I have never taken for granted because at this point you’re just taking pictures of the desert, mountains, and the different colors that appear in the desert skies.

As wedding photographer, we want to try to capture some amazing landscape photography in some capacity so people can see the surrounding nature in their wedding collection. Desert wedding photographers can be some of the most captivating shots in our Las Vegas wedding packages. It can be worth the trip to travel to the middle of the Nevada desert and get some scenic sunset desert shots and see the different colors in the skies.

Thirty years after his death, Ansel Adams remains the symbol of a grand and allegorical photograph. That conveys an idealized vision of nature. His style is based on a highly specialized approach and the absolute control of the camera as a laboratory tool. He develops both a theoretical and a mental/conceptual theory which he called the “Zone System”. A photography student’s nightmare, this strict exposure and exposure technique for black and white photography results in tonally rich negatives. That makes printing photos unimaginably easy. Following the lessons of Ansel Adams, the dark zones never clog and the light ones retain all shades of gray.
